Shuttle bus in the Abondance valley

In winter and summer there are several buses that run through the Abondance valley. They ensure that the villages in the Portes du Soleil are connected efficiently with each other. Especially during the winter it is popular to leave the car behind at the apartment and take the shuttle to visit other ski spots. Abondance is a lovely place, but so are other spots such as Châtel, Les Gets, Avoriaz, Morzine or Les Crosets.

The slopes of the Portes du Soleil

The departmental regular buses, a bus service provided by the government, drive through the valleys. The waiting time for this service is not long. In addition there are also shuttle buses that are used by various villages in the Abondance valley. These shuttle buses run between the villages of Chevenoz, Vacheresse, Bonnevaux, Abondance, La Chapelle d'Abondance and Châtel. This is in addition to the departmental buses. These shuttle buses are free of charge if you show your ski pass during the winter and your Multi Pass in summer.
These buses are very popular, especially in winter. It takes approx. 10 min to go to Abondance in La Chapelle d'Abondance, a village a little further on that is connected to the slopes of the Portes du Soleil. The bus stops at the lifts of the slopes.

So it take around 15minutes for you to get on the slopes from your apartment!
