In the most southern part of France, almost on the border with Spain, lies FranceComfort Holiday Park L'Espinet. The park is beautifully situated: in the foothills of the majestic mountains of the Pyrenees, just outside the charming town of Quillan, about 1 hour drive from the Mediterranean Sea. There are many facilities in the park: indoor and outdoor swimming pool, swimming lake with beach, restaurant, bar, tennis, bike rental, basketball and volleyball court, a playground, various kids clubs during the holidays. But also more special activities such as a wellness center, horseback riding, quad biking, paintball, waterballs, stand-up paddle, inflatable boats, tree-climbing courses, and mountain walks with a guide. And very important in this time: In every house is a good working internet through a fiber-optic connection!
The Languedoc region lies on the Mediterranean coast with famous cities such as Perpignan and Montpellier.
One of the most southern departments in the Languedoc is the Aude, with the capital Carcassonne. Slightly south of Carcassonne lies Quillan.
The region is touristic and very varied: the Mediterranean, the Pyrenees, the extensive vineyards, the many castles and castles from this region of the Cathars and a large number of tourist towns with cozy markets and terraces.
For many, Carcassonne is a well-known city. Located between Toulouse and Narbonne on the Mediterranean Sea, it is best known for its world-famous Cité. This Unesco monument is a beautiful walled castle which is a village in itself.
Half an hour's drive south of Carcassonne is Quillan, in a mountain basin of the Pyrenees. Quillan is one of the nicest places at the foot of the Pyrenees. The town center of the town along the river Aude is cozy. There are several restaurants on the central square. The old stone bridge over the river is one of the main attractions of the town, as well as the remains of the old castle, which has been partly restored. In Quillan all necessary facilities and shops are present.
Just outside Quillan is FranceComfort Holiday Park L'Espinet.
The holiday park with 170 holiday homes is situated on 120 hectares of land. The houses are scattered around the central facilities. Between the houses are regularly large lawns where the children can play wonderfully.
At the reception, with English speaking staff, the restaurant and bar are also located. Here you can get fresh bread daily in season. A little further away is the indoor swimming pool with wellness center.
The sun loungers are already ready around the outdoor pool. Or would you rather go to the beach around the lake? Have you ever tried to get to the other side of a big waterball? Or stay on a stand-up paddle?
Even more challenging? Then make a trip with a quad through the area or climb the trail high in the trees and go with a cable car from one tree to another.
Celebrate your holiday in a 4 or 6 person holiday home in the park. The houses are detached and have various facilities as you are used to at home.
The different types of holiday homes:
All villas have their own garden, terrace (s), garden furniture and shelter from the sun.
Do you want to avoid the "black Saturdays"? In this park you can arrive and depart in the high season on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Arrive and depart outside the high season on every day.

From Quillan it is a beautiful road to the coast. You come through all kinds of nice villages. Just before the coast you drive past Perpignan, a city that is certainly worth a visit.
There are many nice and well-known seaside resorts on the coast. In the south are Banyuls, Collioure and Argelès. A little further to the north are known places like Canet and Barcares.
The beaches of the Mediterranean in the Languedoc are wide sandy beaches. The most southerly, against the Pyrenees, are less wide and sometimes of gravel.
