Golf courses in Haute Provence

Domaine de Taulane, the wonderfully quiet 18-hole golf course, is located around the castle "Chateau de Taulane" and 7 lakes. It was the first Gary Player course in France. The course is very varied and a joy to play.

Course

Gary Player's strategic design snakes through a hilly forest of pine trees with many dogleg holes against the backdrop of the surrounding mountains. Bold but thoughtful strokes are rewarded but overconfidence yields little return. The perfectly maintained course is 1,000 metres above sea level. This makes it not too warm in the summer, but does mean it closes by October. A pleasant side-effect of the height is the extra length of the strokes.
